Newly restored light weight glass fibre touring/sea kayak. This has been stored in a garage for the last 15 years and is in good condition. I have replaced the hatch covers, deck lines and toggles.
There are 3 hatches, a BDH container (that sits under the deck out of the way between your legs) and quite fantastically 2 flare storage tubes which site on the deck and answer the age old question of how to store flares and have them easy to use in an emergency.
I love this boat - its light and fast and paddles beautifully and so I am only selling it reluctantly The problem for me is that I am fractionally too big for it - I am 6 foot 1 inch and weigh 15 stone and although its OK for 45 mins anything longer than that starts to get uncomfortable for me. If you are smaller than me you will be fine in it.
It's not an out and out sea kayak, more a touring boat with lots of good features for the sea. So would be brilliant for river tours as well and you would be paddling comfortably, while your friends in heavy plastic boats start to struggle.
This is available to WDCC members at the fantastic price of £200 until the new year, when I will start offering it more widely. Contact me at springtides@me.com BarrieH
